Biggs Picture Jasper

We have some great Biggs Picture Jasper – Some of it is old Blue Biggs, some is Brown Biggs, but all of it is an incredible showing of nature! We hand cut all our cabochons right here in our rock shop. Blue Biggs and Biggs (brown), was discovered about 1965 in Oregon when Hwy 97 was cut through Biggs Canyon and came across this beautiful material. There was a mad scramble to get what could be gotten before the highway was put in. This started a search of the surrounding areas to find more of this material. Several locations were found in the surrounding area but most of the mines are depleted or closed down. We appreciate this information we got from Dick Loveland. Thank you Dick!
