The Apache Tear is also know as Obsidian or Volcanic glass, but they say the Apache Tear was formed when the loved ones of 75 brave apache warriors near Superior, Arizona chose to ride their horses off "Apache Leap Mountain" to their deaths rather than be defeated after a brave fight with the U.S. Calvary. The Apache women and loved ones of those who had fought so bravely gathered together to mourn the 75 great Apaches. Their grief was so great that their tears solidified when they hit the ground to create these beautiful stones we know today as Apache Tears.
